Ozone Model TSS42 Pickup Assembly
This
is a tapped pickup assembly, there are 3 sounds per pickup.
People
have long desired a “T” lead pickup on an
“S” guitar. So here it is. Fits in with
minor routing around the lead and mid pickups. Template
drawing provided. There are 4 switches. The first
is the 3-position tap switch. “Just
right” in the center, “More”, and
“Less”, on the end positions. The other 3
switches are on-off for each pickup. The tap switch works on
all pickups. The “T” lead is a much
hotter pickup, and is in the
“T” position and slant. Pickups
have large diameter steel poles.
The volume and tone controls are modified for even taper and tone, and a bit of boost when all the way up, like they "go to 11". All small components are hand wired on an eyelet board. There is a brass grounding plate, no soldering to the back of pots. Pickguards are white-black-white, or black-white-black. Pickup covers (neck and mid pickup) are white, knobs are white.
